Tilda
GTK+ based drop down terminal for Linux and Unix
Tilda is a highly-configurable terminal emulator. The specialty of Tilda is that it does not behave like a normalwindow but instead it can be pulled up and down from the top of the screen with a hotkey.
Tilda provides support for tabs (tabbed terminals), transparency, appearance adjustments, configurable hotkeys forvarious functions, and other options that affect the behavior of Tilda. The screenshots show some of the options that Tilda provides.
Tilda is a terminal emulator similar to normal terminals like gnome-terminal (GNOME) or Konsole (KDE), with the difference that it drops down from the edge of a screen when a certain configurable hotkey is pressed. This is similar to the build-in consoles in games such as Quake or Half-live. Tilda is highly configureable through a graphical wizard.
