Open Source Chartplotter and Marine GPS Navigation Software

A cross-platform ship-borne GUI navigation application made up by a core program, a large set of plugins and freely available charts. The application is configurable with user icon. The core supports:

  • GPS/GPDS Position Input and Display
  • BSB Raster Chart display
  • S57 Vector ENC and CM93 chart display
  • AIS Input Decoding and Display
  • Waypoint Autopilot Navigation

Plugin support includes wheather, tactical, annotations and tidal data. Pilot charts can be downloaded from project website at opencpn.org. Other useful add-ons may be found inside the "Download" link at at the same site.

By default supports raster and vector formats like BSB and S63. Support for many other formats are available in plugins. Other plugins provides support for e. g., AIS, radar and weather maps.
