Budgie Quickchar
GUI to find and choose locale characters
Budgie Quickchar is a mini-app to find locale characters quickly:
- Press Super+Alt+C to call the window (Need budgie-extras budgie-extras-daemon)
- Type a character, and all its derivates will appear.
- Click one (or tab to the targeted character and press Return) and the character will be pasted into the document
- Press again to toggle visibility, or Escape to hide
This application has been created primarily for the budgie-desktop but will also work on all X11 based desktops.
This is part of a suite of python3 and Vala based applets & mini-apps created for the Budgie Desktop that provide additional user orientated capabilities. These can be used individually or as a set. . Quickly find and choose the equivalent locale character for an ascii character. . Quickchar can be used on most desktop environments invoked by a shortcut key.
How to install Budgie Quickchar in Ubuntu
If you are on a supported distro, you can install the application through software center by clicking the below link.
If the above link not working, run the below command in terminal to install budgie-quickchar in Ubuntu
sudo apt install budgie-quickchar
